TEXAS AG SUMMIT
February 8, 2010 for the Texas Ag Summit to be held at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort, Austin/Bastrop (map) .
Commissioner Todd Staples invites representatives from the agriculture industry and rural communities to the Hyatt Lost Pines resort for an important summit on the most critical issues facing Texas Agriculture.
Summit guests will hear from Commissioner Staples and other experts as they discuss such topics as: state water policy and other key issues likely to be debated by the 82nd Texas Legislature; federal regulations and the 2012 Farm Bill; agriculture’s economic outlook and the importance of boosting rural economies and representation. The goal of the summit is to establish a comprehensive and on-going working session between Ag stakeholders and Commissioner Staples to develop winning strategies for Texas and its agriculture industry.
The summit will begin Monday, Feb. 8 at 10:30 a.m. and close at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Featuring an open discussion on specific issues affecting Texas Growers. Issues to be discussed range from Air Quality, Water Permitting and Quality, Quarantines, to Labor Issues, and more.

A Formula for Realistic Goal-setting
In my business, there are a few questions that come up time and time again. I’d like to take a few minutes this week to talk about one of the most common: How many leads can an organization reasonably expect to gather at a show?
This is a great question! When you’re setting goals and objectives for a show, you want to make sure that the goals are both realistic and obtainable. There’s no sense telling your team to gather 1,000 leads when that’s not even close to being possible.
