We need an individual who has a minimum of three years experience as a foreman and has run 3 to 6 crew members.
Candidate must have good organizational skills and highly motivated. Should have superior knowledge of plant materials and construction.
We work on a wide variety of projects which include the installation of waterfalls, decks, gazebos, paving, drainage, irrigation, pools, night lighting and custom landscapes. Working knowledge of all these is needed. Must be able to read blueprints and use architect and engineer scales.

Nelson Plant Food is seeking a part time or full time Sales Representative for the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
*Providing customer service, including merchandising assistance, new product knowledge, current POS materials, technical knowledge and customer programs/incentive information to the retail and landscape customer and end users
*Identifying, qualifying, and converting new customers within the retail and landscape segments
*The ability to problem solve, undertake fact finding missions at the customer level, and determine root cause for the customers actions/decisions.
*Identify decision makers, product promoters, and competitor promoters within an organization and effectively sell our solutions to each.
*Reporting customer, market, competitive, and segment intelligence to the Sales Manager on an ongoing basis
*Participate in weekly conference calls as requested
*Compliance in using CRM tools
*Attendance and representation at annual trade shows and industry events as requested (less than 3 per year)
*Attendance at team building and companywide meetings as requested (less than 3 per year)
*All other duties as requested by Sales Management
Travel: This is an outside sales position where the candidate is expected to be physically visiting customers and potential customers, each day. Very limited overnight/weekend travel at less than 10% annually.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have the following characteristics in order to successfully fill this role:
MUST live in the D/FW metro area. No relocation available.
Five (5) plus years sales experience, preferably B2B
At least one (1) year of outside sales experience, preferably B2B
An outgoing personality that can communicate with enthusiasm and professionalism across all ranks within a company
Relentless pursuit of success and the ability to cold call to acquire new business
High degree of competency in computer systems, such as Microsoft Office applications
High degree of organizational skills
MUST be an extremely open communicator
The ability to take initiative and perform effectively, on your own merit, without direct supervision
The ability to work as part of a team and share information, even though in a different geographic region
A work ethic based on honesty and integrity

Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Assistant Director/Horticulturist position. This is a hands-on horticultural, educational and administrative role reporting to the Managing Director.
Shangri La is a diverse 252-acre ecosystem with approximately 12 acres of urban botanical gardens, together with a nature center in southeastern Texas. With a design that features native plans and a programming emphasis on environmental education, Shangri La embodies sustainable horticulture and environmental education.
This position provides leadership in many areas, including prioritizing the horticultural needs, program development within the garden area, managing staff, volunteers, operations, budget, public relations, community outreach and determining landscape decisions for all other Stark Foundation properties.
Candidates must possess a wide variety of practical knowledge of all facets of garden management as well as management experience in general administration, including personnel, budgeting and public relations. Requirements include a BS in Horticulture, Botany, Dendrology, Landscape Architecture or closely related field with a minimum of 7 years directly managing a botanical garden.
