RETURN TO TNLA LEGISLATIVE & REGULATORY PAGE Texas Nursery & Landscape Association Update TO: TNLA Members FROM:Jim Reaves DATE: 7.27.2010 RE: Aquatic Plant "white list" |
Currently, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) is constructing a list of aquatic plants that will be legal to grow, sell and possess in the State of Texas. If an aquatic species is not on the "white list" it will be illegal. TNLA has been working with TPWD for over a year to ensure that the products our members grow and sell maintain a legal status. This is the current proposed list of acceptable aquatic plants. Please take the time to review and make sure that what you grow and sell are listed. This is not the final list, but in the very near future the list will be more solidified. There will be additional rules with TPWD that allow other aquatic plants to be added in the future, but it is our intent to get our plants on the original list. Sincerely, Jim Reaves |
